Mitchy Got a Sweet Set of Clubs

Mitch got a very special prize today all wrapped up from his Dad. Mitch was so pumped to find out inside was his own set of REAL golf clubs complete with a driver, iron and putter. He can use this set until he is 5, so he'll get a good 3 years of use. He is already holding his follow through on all shots, including putts. Driving range.... here we come!

Guitar Man's New Axe

Mitch is REALLY into music.... he digs tubas, clarinets, guitars, vibes, drums, trumpets, piano, cello, sax, bass, you get the idea. So, you could imagine the thrill of bringing home his own amp and real mini guitar from his Poppie! Plugging in and jamming runs in his blood, man. One of Mitch's favorite things to do is sit in Poppie's music room and wait for him to bring down all the guitars hanging on the wall one by one for some mad strumming action. Mitch's new amp also allows him to get jiggy on the mic by counting to 10 and some "microphone checks!" When Mitch counts to ten, the number 2 is always non-existent: 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. That's just how he rolls. Next step, singing along with the piano!

Junior Chef

Mitchy likes to help cook in the kitchen and enjoys getting every single utensil out of the drawers he can possible reach and bang them as loud as he can on his bowl. He works so hard to prepare delicious meals for his family, that is until he is ready to move on to his next project, of course. We love our very busy Junior Chef!

My Big Boy Bed

Our boy is really growing up now and is leaving his crib in the dust! We took a chance and converted Mitch's crib to a toddler bed hoping he would be ready and hoping he would stay in his crib during the night. He is so excited about his Big Boy Bed and loves being able to crawl in and out himself. So far, he is staying in his bed the whole night, although we are noticing new items in his bed in the mornings that were not there when he went to bed. He seems to be getting braver and braver each day. Today, at nap time, I watched him on the monitor get out of his bed multiple times to get more and more books to put in his bed. I finally went in there and he had about 20 books in his bed! Mitchy loves a good project. He finally gave it up and went to sleep.

Mitch's iPad Obsession

Mitch LOVES the iPad and we are amazed at how he can navigate around it at 2 yrs old. He loves his apps, especially the drag and drop puzzles and the musical instruments. He knows right where to go to get his folders and back out if he gets bored at something. What a smarty pants!

Labor Day Fun at Cabin in Greer

We got to go visit Clint and Jen's cabin in Greer this weekend and get out of the heat! It was so fun for everyone. Mitch loved picking dandelions and just being outdoors with his boy Cam. The last night, we went out to dinner and got to sit in the bar area so the boys could roam around. They got to play with the pool table and shuffleboard. The night ended on a high note with a big bowl of vanilla ice cream. Oh boy!
