Swing - Mitchell loves his swing and is almost instantly put to sleep by the rhythmic motion! It's has such a comfy, soft bed and is so cute with the lamb ears. This was a gift from the Montgomery Family and he sure is enjoying it. Once he discovers the mirror and mobile above, he will love it even more.....
Play Mat - We have this set up for him on the floor in the nursery. After he eats, he is always ready for a little play time and this mat serves the purpose for a few minutes. He will grow into this and enjoy it more later, too. He recently discovered mirrors and was fascinated by his reflexion! So cute... What until he discovers the mirrored closets in his room! Thanks to Grammy, Dana and Odie for this prize.
Bouncer - We have this station set up on the kitchen counter and it's great to keep him in while we are making or eating dinner. He likes to focus on the lights and enjoys the music and nature sounds it makes. We have also set it up for him in the office so he can watch a Baby Einstein DVD. He is a bit young for this yet, but focuses on it for a bit. This was a gift from Grammy, Dana and Odie! He sure loves it.....
Car Seat and Stroller - Sometimes we put Mitch in here and wheel him around the house for entertainment. Seen below is Mitch discovering a very soothing pacifier when he was fussy. We don't use the pacifier often, but it has come in handy a few times in the evening to get him to calm down or when he is extremely fussy. These have been rare times!
Crib - The first few weeks, we had Mitch sleeping in our bedroom in his Pack N' Play. Now he is sleeping in his crib during the night and we use the baby monitor to keep track of him. It's nice because he has his ipod filled with comforting lullabies he can listen to as he drifts off into sleepland. He often takes naps in the crib during the day, as well. Now that Mitch is focusing on objects more, we added a fish mobile and several crib toys to keep his attention. He's still a bit young for them, but will start enjoying them soon enough!
On the Couch with a Blanket - Mitchell likes to lay on his back and stomach while relaxing with a blankie on the couch. We play a game called "Inchworm" where I support his feet and he pushes himself forward like an inchworm. He works so hard at it and enjoys it so.
Pack N' Play - We have moved this from the bedroom to the family room and it has been very useful there! Equipped with a changing table and bed, Mitch has it all!
