Two Week Photo Shoot

Mitch was 2 weeks old and I wanted to get some really good shots of him with my new Nikon D60 Camera I bought before he was born. So, I set up a backdrop on the pool table and with the help of my assistant, Mi'Ma, I think we got some great shots for an amateur photographer! Mitch was such a great subject and was happy and awake for the whole shoot. What a perfect boy.

First Doctor's Appointment

We are lucky to have Mitchell's pediatrician's office right in our neighborhood. We could walk there if we had to.... although not in June. We saw Dr. Guthrie today, who was very nice, and said Mitch looks great and is very healthy. He weighed 6 Lbs, 11 Oz.

Everyone Says Mitch Looks Like Daddy!

Mitchell does look like Daddy - there is no denying that fact! Take a look at Mark's 4 day old photo and you will see the same full golden hair. At the hospital, we had fun showing everyone these pictures of Mark. As the mom, however, I do think he has some of my features, as well!! It will be so fun to see him grow over the years.

First Sponge Bath

We gave Mitch his first sponge bath when we got home from the hospital. With the umbilical cord stump and circumsicion, he was still not able to submerge in a bath tub. Maybe in a few weeks! He was a little concerned at first, but ended up liking the warm washcloth.

Amy Jo, Thomas, Jake and Nick were in town the week before for our baby shower and got to be in town when Mitch was born. Amy Jo was a huge support during the delivery and acted as our personal photographer. She got some great shots and some shots that will remain in the private collection.... Thanks Amy for all your help! Love you!

When we got home from the hospital, the Arthur gang stopped by to see Mitch before they headed back to TX. Nicolas was so cute and kissed Mitch's feet. Jake was interested, as well, but not interested in any kissing! He did get Mitch a really cool whale onsie that he was very proud of.

Going Home from the Hospital

After three nights, we were ready to go home! Mitchell had his circumsicion that morning, which didn't seem to bother him at all. The doctors who saw him said he looked great and was very healthy. He was down to 6Lbs / 7Oz which is normal. We couldn't wait to get home with him and sleep in our own beds. Mom was there waiting for us, had gone grocery shopping and was a HUGE help. She stayed several nights to help at night and was so supportive! Love you Mi'Ma.
